Saints release Blake Bortles

The run with the Saints have come to an end for Blake. He was signed by the Saints late last year to fill in as an emergency backup after being signed and cut by the Packers in July 2021. Blake did sign a new contact with the Saints in January however due to the extension of Jamies Winston and signing of Andy Dalton, there is no more room in the depth chart for Bortles so New Orleans decided to part ways. Can we say that its best for him to retire at this point or try to make a roster as a possible 3rd string QB?
